CLC Statement of Faith

  • We BELIEVE the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible authoritative Word of God. (II Timothy 3:16)
  • We BELIEVE that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (I John 5:6-8)
  • We BELIEVE in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (I Corinthians 15:3-4, I Peter 2:18-24 and John 3:16).
  • We BELIEVE that for salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. (Romans 3:21-30 and Galatians 4:4-7).
  • We BELIEVE that the normative consummation of the Baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is evidenced by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit give utterance, and by the subsequent manifestation of spiritual power in public testimony and service. (Acts 10:44-46, Acts 19:2, Acts 19:6, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:42-43 and Matthew 3:11).
  • We BELIEVE in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; that the saved unto the resurrection of life; and the lost unto the resurrection of damnation. (John 5:24, John 5:28-29)
  • We BELIEVE that deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement, and it is God will to heal us. (Isaiah 53:4Matthew 8:16-17, Mark 16:18, John 5:6-14 and I Peter 2:24)
  • We BELIEVE in the imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.(I Thessalonians 4:13-18, Revelation 22:20 and John 14:3)

CLC Core Values

Prayer

It is up to the church to pray God’s will into the earth. Jesus said, “I will build my church: and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto you the keys of the kingdom of heaven:and whatsoever thou loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 16:18-19).   Jesus has given us the authority to release His will on the earth through prayer. We as believers-the church are to destroy the works of the devil through prayer. The intercessory prayer meeting, 24/7 Prayer team, all-night prayer vigil exists to release the power of prayer.

Worship

Our first command from God is to love Him with all our heart, soul and mind (Matthew 22:37).   Ministry to the Lord comes before ministry to people. The “first love” is Jesus.  Praise is a calling given to every believer. “this people have I formed for Myself, they shall show forth my praise” (Isaiah 42:21).   The choirs, bands, orchestra, music teams, cantatas, and worship services all provide avenues to lead us into praise and worship, both as a body and individually.

Teaching

Foundational to all that is done in the Church is the Word of God. The apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor/teacher are given by God to train and equip the believers to do the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:11-12).   The Word of God builds and equips believers to be and do what God desires. The vision of Christian Life Center is to constantly nurture believers until they grow into full maturity. Christian Life Bible Institute, Seminars, Sunday School, books, tapes, cell groups, Timothy and Lydia training, all provide training for the believer to be equipped to do the work of the ministry.

Fellowship

The church is a community of believers. It is a family-loving together and caring for each other.  We are a body with many members (I Corinthians 12:12).

Every member of the church needs the other members. God uses each of us to supply something to someone else.
The first believers in Act 2 shared their possessions with one another. They ate together, prayed together and worshipped together. Weekly Cell Groups, Sunday School Classes, and various age groups such as Children, youth, singles, couples and Married couples all provide meaningful fellowship opportunities.

Evangelism

“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15).

The church is called to proclaim good news, heal the sick, deliver the oppressed and set the captive free (Luke 4:18).

We have the answer to the world’s problems and we must share Him. The purpose of the baptism of the Holy Spirit is power to witness (Act 1:8).

All that we do in Prayer, worship, teaching, fellowship, is a preparation for Evangelism. God gave Jesus Because He loved the world. His love has not changed and we are to go to the unsaved with this message of God’s love.

Street witness teams, mission outreaches, door-to-door campaigns, tracts, benevolent ministries, all are instruments of evangelism.
